FINAL MEGA PROJECT BLOG

The idea of starting a business and becoming an entrepreneur is a wonderful dream, but the hard work, consistency, and dedication it requires is the reason most startups fail within the first six months.

We started working on our mega project around three weeks back. As we collaborated with Non-Profit Organization CHIRAAGH, things were not entirely in our hands, so we faced few challenges. We wanted to launch high-quality products because we couldn’t compromise on the quality, so after seeing the first sample, we had to ask for another fabric because it didn’t turn out the way we wanted it to be.

We planned to initiate marketing on social media but we didn’t start our page because we waited for the samples. As it was a first-time experience for us, we faced some issues in the production as well. The second challenge was to get orders for the product. Initially, we planned to sell the cloth bags to the shop owners, but due to high prices compared to the plastic bags, none of the shop owners agreed to collaborate with us. We had to change our plan, and we decided to go with the customizable tote bags, which are very trendy in European countries.

As some organizations have started working on sustainability in Pakistan, some big names in the garment industry like Sapphire and Beech Tree have also introduced tote bags. Our challenge was to get the orders since we didn’t have samples in your hand to show the audience. But due to teamwork and efforts, we made it successfully by getting orders through Whatsapp and Instagram.

PROGRESS:

We got stuck with our product samples in the middle of September. However, startups required every research to be executed in-depth.
Significantly I'm grateful for the delay we faced due to the cloth quality. Also, we replaced it with another cloth quality and it looks amazing.

Fortunately, due to the excellent quality of the fabric, many customers contacted us. So in the last week of September, we had only five orders in our hands.
However, in the first week of October, we got a total of 15 orders.

So we are initially going to complete our first batch of orders.

STRATEGIES THAT WE UPGRADED:

There were many areas where we were lacking.

First of all, the marketing strategies that we were implementing were not up to the mark. So we decided to come up with more significant approaches and started advertising our Instagram page on different groups.

Secondly we were short on time and customers were not approaching us. So we decided to contact resellers who have a chain of customers in their broadcast. We provided them with our product sample picture with the copyrights of our page. This is giving us a significant impact.

IMPACT:

We believe that even a tiny impact will bring more significant sales in the near future. So we have five customers on the boat. As I have discussed earlier about resellers, we have been in contact with them for a while now. Let’s see how many orders they can book for us.

As we have written in the first paragraph that CHIRAAGH is our Manufacturer. They have a vocational training center where they are providing girls with training. So we feel lucky to give them a platform to earn money.

SUSTAINABILITY:

We make sure to provide the best quality to our clients.

Moreover, we want to grow our CLOTH2.0, and for that, we are on our product hunt and looking for more manufacturers who can join hands to initiate the earning platform for women.

As a group leader, I'm amazed to see my team members working very thoughtfully for this initiative.

Without Faiza, Hussain, and Talha’s support, I couldn’t be able to do this much even. They are doing great at their side.

CONCLUSION:

We are looking forward to growing this initiative with more strategies and hard work. We know that businesses take time to settle in the market. However, what we have done up till now is our achievement, Alhamdulillah.
