Lancers claim second straight win
Longwood moved to 2–5 with a 84–59 over Division II Bluefield State tonight.
Five Lancers finished in double-figures with 29 points and 4 rebounds. Four other Lancers finished with double-figures lead by JaShaun Smith with 14 points and Kamil Chapman, BK Ashe, and Chuck Glover finishing with 10 points.
Defensively, Longwood held Bluefield State to under 30% shooting and just 15.2% from three. Longwood narrowly won the rebound margin 46–43. The Lancers forced 23 turnovers, but had 18 of their own.
Boaz Williams did return tonight, but Damarion Geter (concussion), Jahleem Montague (bone bruise), and Jordan Cintron all missed the game again.
Longwood will welcome a 2–4 Fayetteville State from the Division II ranks to Willett Hall on Saturday.
