Set Up Robot Framework Development Environment
My automation task requires to automatically interact with GUI, so this is how I started Robot Framework.
Python2 and python3 are by default installed with Debian 9, but not pip. Install pip for Python 2 and all of it’s dependencies:
Or, install pip for Python 3 and all of it’s dependencies by typing
Usage of pip:
pip install|uninstall <package names>
This command also installs the latest Selenium and Robot Framework versions
usage doc:
robot example.robot
if run in python 3, do:
python3 -m robot example.robot
